Sarkari Naukri - Government Jobs
Two decades ago, if you had asked a teenager about his career plans, civil services would have probably topped the list. But, blame it on the changed political or the economic climate in the country, there has been a shift in job perceptions among the new generation.
Over the years, the number of Government posts has decreased; in fact, with marketization and administrative reforms that Governments take up as a cost-cutting exercise, many others have disappeared. ``For instance, in many departments, the post of Joint Director has been scrapped.
Is sarkari naukri losing its charm?
Answer is NO!!!
Gone are the days when government jobs were only for the unambitious and risk averse. The meltdown has changed the equation. Youngsters today wants sarkari naukri for themselves! Fat pay packets and fast growth options had made corporates the darling all these years. Now, security is the priority. Moreover, after Sixth Pay Commission, government salaries have shot up. Benefits like life-long pension, holidays and fixed working hours are adding to the allure of government jobs. Many still believe that people opt for the Government services purely for the love of it; may be for the power and clout it gives; least of all, though, for making moolah.
In the time of paycuts and pink slips, government jobs have turned out to be the most recession-proof employment option. Realising this, bureaucrats who joined private companies with plum corporate postings and fat paycheques, are looking for a way back to Government Jobs.
